Buying Service Flow & Info

TARIFFS, IMPORT DUTY/TAX:

You are responsible for any import duties/taxes charged by your country.

For USA customers, we will include tariff/duty charges on your invoice so you'll pre-pay these costs and your wheels will arrive without any additional payments collected by the couriers.

For other countries, you will be responsible for paying the courier before delivery.  Please look into these costs prior to purchase.

 

BUYING SERVICE FLOW

1) INQUIRY: Send the link to the wheels you want to buy or bid-on and your maximum bid via the contact form.

2) ESTIMATE: You’ll receive a custom estimate with available shipping options and total costs to your door.

3) DEPOSIT: To place a bid, a deposit of ¥20,000 is required prior placing your bid (adjusted per situation). For “buy it now” purchases, the purchase costs will be invoiced up front.

— Your deposit is refundable if you don't win the auction or we can hold it for future use.  If you win, 100% of your deposit received will be applied to the purchase amount.

— Please note: PayPal does not refund their fees so the refunded amount will be the amount we received in Japanese Yen after PayPal fees were deducted. This is why we try to keep the deposit low.

4) BID: Once we receive your deposit, your maximum bid will be entered on your behalf.  If you win, JDM Wheels Co. will handle purchase and communication with the seller for delivery of your wheels to us.

5) INSPECTION & PACKING: When your wheels arrive, they’ll be inspected and repacked to ensure safe transport to you. You’ll be updated on final shipping costs.

6) SHIPPING: Once shipping method is selected, you'll pay the remaining balance prior to shipping.

Then just sit back and watch the automatic tracking updates as the wheels head your way!

SHIPPING METHODS

FedEx - 3-14 days depending on Priority or Economy option.  Most reasonable rates for large, heavy items.

DHL - 3-7 days transit times. Cost is based on size.  Tracking and insurance available.  There is basically no size limit but large items (bumpers/seats/lips) get very expensive.

EMS - 4-10 days transit times. Cost is based on weight with smaller size limits than DHL.  Weight limit of 30kg (some countries 20kg).  EMS is best used when a package is large (within the size limits but not heavy).  EMS is a global network built on top of each countries postal system.

SURFACE MAIL - This is shipping by sea and speed varies by country with transit times ranging from 1-3 months and fluctuating based on overall order volume.  Surface mail to some countries have smaller size dimensions than EMS and DHL.  And it cannot be insured to some countries. Surface mail is best used when saving money is more important than speed.  Tracking is available but updates don't happen once the package is on the ship (1-2 months without an update is normal).  Tracking updates will start again once the package arrives in your country.
